Traditional water chestnut harvest in Kashmir

BANDIPORA, JAMMU AND KASHMIR, INDIA, OCTOBER 7, 2026: Workers harvest water chestnuts using traditional wooden boats and hand tools in the waterways of Bandipora, northern Kashmir. The seasonal harvest provides a source of income for local communities, with workers collecting the aquatic crop before cleaning, sorting and selling it in local markets.
