Streets fall quiet for Yom Kippur in Ramat Gan

RAMAT GAN, ISRAEL, SEPTEMBER 20, 2026: Israelis ride bicycles, scooters and skateboards along largely empty streets in Ramat Gan as Yom Kippur begins at sunset. Motor traffic largely comes to a halt during the Jewish Day of Atonement, while worshippers attend synagogue services and observe a 25-hour period of fasting and prayer.
