Journalists pray for missing colleagues after Anak Krakatau eruption

SURAKARTA, CENTRAL JAVA, INDONESIA, SEPTEMBER 14, 2026: Journalists and media workers take part in a solidarity prayer at Solo City Hall for five journalists, two crew members and a guide who lost contact while covering the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau in the Sunda Strait. The event was organized by the Solo branches of the Indonesian Photojournalists Association (PFI), Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI), together with journalists from various media organizations, in support of ongoing search efforts.
