Commercial Videos — License Terms

Last Updated: September 22, 2026

1. Applicability

These terms apply when you license video or footage for commercial, promotional, advertising, branded, theatrical, or paid public-performance use, or when Content is designated Commercial. They apply in addition to the Standard License Terms.

Self-serve NX editorial video packages do not include commercial advertising rights. For editorial footage, see Editorial Videos.

2. Custom / sales-led licensing

  • Commercial video licenses are generally issued under a custom quote or signed agreement defining permitted uses, territories, media, duration, exclusivity, resolution, and fees.
  • Clearances (model, property, music, trademark, and third-party elements in frame) are addressed only to the extent stated in that agreement.
  • Commercial licenses are not transferable to affiliates, agencies, or end clients unless the agreement names them as licensed users.
  • Contact [email protected] before any commercial or advertising use of footage.

3. Video commercial rules

  • Sync, broadcast, streaming, OTT, theatrical, and paid social uses are limited to what your agreement expressly lists.
  • Music, logos, and third-party IP visible or audible in the footage are not cleared for commercial End Uses unless stated in writing.
  • Editing for length and technical delivery is allowed; creating misleading composites or false endorsements is not.
  • AI training, synthetic generation, NFTs, and template resale require express written permission.

4. Relationship to editorial Content

Editorial-designated videos may not be used commercially unless we issue a separate commercial license for that asset. An editorial video download does not convert the footage to commercial use.
