Day of the Dead Illuminations in Mexico City

Construction crews working for the Mexico City government have begun assembling and installing the structures that will illuminate the buildings surrounding the city’s Zócalo. Using cranes, cables, and various framework components, they are preparing everything for the unveiling of the Monumental Ofrenda (altar), which will feature the world’s tallest Catrina, so that both locals and tourists can enjoy the start of the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico.
