MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026: Jeepney drivers, transport workers and supporters rally through Metro Manila during the second day of a transport strike over rising fuel prices and operating costs. Transport group PISTON called for lower fuel prices, the removal of excise tax and value-added tax on petroleum products and changes to existing oil policies, arguing that higher fuel costs have severely reduced drivers' earnings. Recent fuel price increases in the Philippines have been linked to continuing conflict and instability in the Middle East. Photo by Emman Capones/ JNA Press.
