TIRANA, ALBANIA, OCTOBER 15, 2026: Students and other demonstrators protest near the Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana on the third consecutive day of anti-government demonstrations, demanding better university conditions and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Clashes erupt between protesters and riot police, with demonstrators throwing stones, metal objects and pyrotechnics while officers respond with tear gas and water cannons. Fires are set in rubbish bins and at street kiosks, and damaged public property and debris are scattered across central Tirana. Some demonstrators are detained, while others help protesters affected by tear gas by pouring water over their faces to rinse their eyes. A bloodied female demonstrator is held on the ground by other protesters amid the confrontations. Photo by Vlasov Sulaj / JNA Press (Photo by Vlasov Sulaj/JNA Press via Nexpher Images)
