NAKHON SAWAN, THAILAND, OCTOBER 10, 2026: Competitors race traditional sword-headed boats during an annual boat racing festival in Nakhon Sawan province, north of Bangkok. The distinctive boats, adapted from local fishing vessels, feature upward-curving bows designed to help them move through vegetation while fishing. The races are traditionally held during the flood season ahead of the end of Buddhist Lent and have been staged in districts across Nakhon Sawan for more than two decades.
