Kathmandu Cooking Gas Shortage

KATHMANDU, NEPAL, OCTOBER 14, 2026: Consumers queue with empty liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders at a distribution centre in Kathmandu amid a cooking gas shortage during the Dashain festival. Floods and landslides have disrupted transport routes supplying the capital, compounding difficulties in obtaining gas for household cooking and festival preparations.
