Madrid housing protest draws comparisons with 15-M

MADRID, SPAIN, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026: Housing activists continue their encampment at Puerta del Sol following a mass demonstration against Madrid's housing crisis. Participants have drawn comparisons between the current protest movement, referred to by activists as "26-S," and the 15-M Indignados movement that occupied the square 15 years earlier.
